2009-11-19 - 5:45 p.m. ......11+ looming... Saturday is the 11+. Sam heads off for three hours of testing, and then in March he will find out whether he has scored high enough compared to all the other 10/11 year old boys to win a place at grammar school. Of course, what he really wants is to follow his brother to Hogwarts, but that takes a different three hour test (in January) and a whopping bloody great score. Needless to say, life is a little tense here. As much as we downplay Saturday, he is not a fool and he knows what is at stake. I can't believe that three years has gone so quickly, and we are here again. Everything crossed - if it goes well on Saturday, Sam will be much more confident about the Hogwarts exam in January. If only money grew on trees...if only our local high school was good enough, or even went all the way to 18. If only... leave a note
