2009-09-04 - 7:49 a.m. ....September arrives..... Hi ya'll. The shed has windows and doors now, looking mighty nice filling up the bottom of the garden. It has taken a long time to finish (I'm told it is still not finished), mainly because it is so large. It is empty at present as the boys are busy with other things and generally cannot get their acts together to decide what is going in. Despite being so large, it isn't nearly big enough for everything they want. I may keep saying that, so bear with me. Nicole's birthday was a success, even though most of the original invites couldn't come. We filled the space though and had the simplest party ever - take the children to the shop, the shop folks run the party, they make teddy bears, the children go home. Fantastic. Nicole was up at 6am and bouncing with excitement until she collapsed at 9pm, full of cake and sweets. So now she is 7, except for her legs, which seem to be a size 9. Hmmm. Her school dresses still sort of fit, but mostly because little girls can get away with shorter dresses with tights. Ben has gone back to school, but the others don't go back until Monday. I return to work on Tuesday. I'm not too sure who will be finding it hardest to get up in the morning. I'll have two more activities during the week from last year - flute lesson has moved from Sat morning to Tues afternoon (before Brownies)due to the teacher going back to college. The nerve. And there is extra rugby practice on Thursday evenings (after piano lessons), along with Sun mornings. This means that Monday will be the only free day. Bummer. Once again I am thinking that maybe I am really wanting to admit defeat and resign being Beaver Scout leader. Long suffering husband is going to the States for 10 days in September and I'm not sure I'll still be lucid by the time of his return... leave a note
